Chip is a rough coated lurcher, born in 2006 and entered the Ford household as a 5month old. Perhaps the trade descriptions act should get involved here because when Chip was rescued they were told he'd be whippet sized...he's now 27" to the shoulder and undoubtedly the tallest 'Owler.
Chip began training in September 2007, a challenge at first he was not the easiest dog to train, however, with the experience of Murphy behind them the 'Owlers took on the task and he eventually did his first starters in April 2008. He has a lot of potential if only he'd race in his top gear; he showed a flash of inspiration at Sutton Fields by running 4.50s in singles and we expect big things of him eventually!
Like his housemates, Chip also trains in agility and is Helen's first agility dog. Unlike “sister” Big Pops, he has become contact obsessed, with a love of standing on the end of any piece of equipment he can.
Chip is a very unique looking lad who's breeding can probably only be described as "answers on a postcard", and he says one day he hopes to teach his "reverse flip" box technique to the world....
