 As well as being one of 'Owlers older racing dogs, Harvey is one of the busiest too. The club proclaimed "dog with a day job" is run in flyball by junior handler Jess. By running Harvey and boxloading, Jess came 2nd in the BFA Junior Handler of the Year in 2008.
Born in 2000, Harvey had a late start to flyball, beginning his training in 2007. After showing what he was made of in starters, he competed in his first Open tournament at Sheffield in January 2008, and gained his flyball dog two shows later. Now a fully fledged member of the Eagles, Harvs enjoys running with height dog Jess in one of the nosiest teams around.
As well as flyball, he turned his paw to agility and started on a beginners course in 2009. Harvey is the collie x springer, who is always first in line for a cuddle! |
